Oberkranachberg is a famous vineyard with sandy crushed rock terroir. The grapes are hand-picked very late in the harvest season in order to achieve optimum ripened fruit. Fermentation took place in 3,000 litre traditional French oak barrels as well as the following maturation. The result is a full bodied elegant and supple power wine with complexity and nutty flavours. This multiple awarded wine is best to drink between: 2020 – 2032
In the scent honeydew melon and ripe peach can be recognized
Full-bodied, strong body. Some hazelnut and ripe melon on the palate. Mineral and very long-lasting finish.
Dark meat, steaks, heavy fish meals, but also roasted liver
